Tampa Armature Works Theater – The Next Generation

Tampa Armature Works Theater – The Next Generation

The historic Tampa Armature Works Theater located in the esteemed Tampa Heights neighborhood once served as an entertainment venue for the Tampa Electric Company (TECO) street car workers who would catch a show or movie after their shift.  Those who remember the theater in its glory recall the brick wall used for silent films and south side stage where vaudeville style shows were performed.

Today, the Tampa Armature Works Theater serves a new generation of clients.  It has been re-purposed into a 2500 square foot event venue that can accommodate up to 200 guests.  Goodwin Company was proud to be part of the renovation, providing 3000 square feet of Antique Longleaf for the project. The good ‘ol days may be gone, but thanks to the Antique Longleaf and recent renovation of this historic space, they are certainly not forgotten!

Corey Cathcart of Integrity Flooring supervised the talented crew who nailed down, sanded and finished the gorgeous Antique Longleaf floor.  Corey sent us these photos of the work in progress.  Take a look and let us know what you think!
