River-Recovered® Midnight Heart Cypress comes from the same old growth bald cypress trees as lighter colored cypress. Midnight is essentially the result of 1000+ years of the tree absorbing a variety of different minerals and nutrients through its firmly grounded root system. These ancient towering giants soak up a unique color range of minerals from swampy soils, each adding its own patina. This is how Midnight Cypress achieves its dark color.
River-Recovered Midnight Heart Cypress displays a range of cozy brown hues, varying from light to dark chocolates. This spectrum gives it a gorgeous and rich textured look perfect for flooring, wall paneling, or ceiling paneling.

Heritage Wood Finish Company pre-finished the floor with a two pass UV Oil. Although Heart Cypress is typically incorporated into walls and ceilings (it is half as hard as Heart Pine), a heart cypress floor is certainly fine to install in rooms where foot traffic can be controlled. As flooring, Midnight Cypress works beautifully in bedrooms and studies.
