New Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center Features Contemporary Use of Antique Heart Cypress

The new 11,000 sq. ft. Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida is now complete and it is absolutely gorgeous!

The seven million dollar building was constructed on the shore of beautiful Lake Beresford and is now home to the Stetson Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience and the Stetson University rowing team.

The focal point of the building’s unique and exquisite architecture is the cambered ceiling featuring Goodwin’s River-Recovered® SELECT Heart Cypress finished with DIAMOND 7.  Take a look:

The architect was Preston Phillips from Bridgehampton, New York. Charles Perry Partners, Inc. was the General Contractor.
